To our patients
All of the staff here at Colegrove Dental Care are very excited to be welcoming you back through our doors, we hope you and your loved ones are safe and well.
We just wanted to give you an update as to how the practice will be operating for the foreseeable future due to Covid -19, we have added a few extra steps to keep you and our team safe.
We also ask that you be patient with us whilst we deal with any emergency patients before we start seeing routine, as you can imagine we have quite a backlog.
We will be running a closed door/appointment only service for the foreseeable future, this means no walk in appointments, and that our door will be locked.
We will still be triaging patients over the phone at first, and the dentists will determine who we can book in for assessment/treatment under our new regulations. If you are offered an appointment, you will be asked a series of screening questions over the phone – (such as have you had any Covid – 19 symptoms) before we see you to check that it is safe for us to see you.
We will ask you to arrive as close to your appointment time as possible (not early/late) to prevent too much time waiting around in the waiting room. Once you have arrived at the practice, you will need to call/knock when you are outside so that we know you are here and will let you in when the dentist is ready to see you.
You will be asked to attend the appointment alone if possible, if you require a chaperone they will have to wait outside the practice for you. If the appointment is for a child/vulnerable person the parent/carer will be asked to wait outside and the dentists will call them to discuss any treatment required.
You will be asked to sanitise your hands on entry and exit of the practice.
If you have a mask, please wear it to the practice and only remove when you are in the surgery and the dentist asks you to.
There may be some extra paperwork that needs to be completed before we see you, so we ask that patients bring a pen along with them if possible, or we can provide you with a disposable one.
Please bear with us while we are getting used to all our new protocols and procedures, and please don’t take our extra questions/measures personally – we have to do this with every patient, this is the first time we will be as anxious about seeing you as you are to see us!
If you have any questions please do give the practice a call and we will help as best we can.
